This gun is based on the AS 1803D and have all properties from the AS1803. The cathodic protection attachment is ideal for applications where the working with conventional earth clamps is not possible or only possible to a limited extent. It is particularly frequently used for welding on round surfaces, such as the cathodic corrosion protection of gas pipes.

The new Cathodic Protection Attachment is optimated for long life and welding
Now available. The new innovative solution for cathodic protection welding. This revised version of the cathodic protection attachment ensures better welding results and less wear on the electrodes because of its innovative construktion.
The cathodic protection attachment is used when conventional ground clamps are no longer usable. It establishes the ground connection directly at the gun. This attachment is optimated for welding on round workpieces, where it is impossible to connect ground clamps. It is mostly used for cathodic corrosion protection on gas pipelines.
The double-sided positioning of the ground electrodes leads to an avoidance of blowing effects and insures a very good welding quality. The new technical design also makes it almost impossible to attach the attachment incorrectly. The heavy wear of the old Cathodic protection attachment is totally minimized.
